Your 2020 Census
The 2020 Census will affect many aspects of your business and community. The census is a population count required by the U.S. Constitution that occurs once every 10 years. Data from the 2020 Census will set the foundation for important federal, state, and local changes that will impact REALTORS® for the next decade.
The federal government has altered the census schedule due to COVID-19. The self-response phase has been extended through August 14, 2020. But we encourage everyone to set a few minutes aside this afternoon and complete it today.

The results of the census are used to reapportion the House of Representatives, determining how many seats each state gets.
Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year.
The distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funds, grants, and support to states, counties, and communities are based on census data. That money is spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works, and other vital programs.
Local governments use the census for public safety and emergency preparedness.
