Every member has a voice in the future of our Association. As we begin the 2027 Election of Officers & Directors, we encourage all members to learn about the candidates, participate in the election process, and join us at our upcoming Annual General Membership Meeting. Voting will begin Sep 22 at 8:30am and will conclude on Sep 24 at 10:00am.

This annual election is one of the most important responsibilities and privileges of membership. Your vote helps determine the leadership team that will guide the Association's strategic direction, advocate for members, and help ensure continued success in the year ahead.

Candidate Bio

I’ve spent my life in service—first to my community and now to our profession. After 29 years with the Dallas Police Department, where I retired as a Sergeant of Police, I carried with me a deep commitment to leadership, accountability, and helping people.

After retirement from law enforcement, that same dedication has guided me as a business owner of Paint and Pitch, LLC for 13 years, and now as the Broker of Place to Be Properties in Denton, where I’m proud to work alongside our members to serve clients and communities with integrity.

I also believe in giving back through service to our industry. I’m honored to serve currently as 2026 Vice President of GDWCAR and on the Board of Directors for the Denton Central Appraisal District. These roles have taught me the importance of teamwork, fiscal responsibility, and making sure every voice at the table is heard.

My goal is simple: to empower our members with the education, training, and tools they need to provide exceptional service to the consumer while advocating for private property rights. When we invest in ourselves, we elevate our entire profession and strengthen the trust our communities place in us.

Together, we can continue building an Association that not only supports its members but also leads with excellence, service, and heart.

Candidate Bio

Josh White has been a proud Denton resident for 54 years. He and his wife, Mona, have built a family deeply rooted in education and community service. Together, they have two sons: Wilson, a graduate of Texas A&M University, and Jackson, a current senior at Texas A&M.

For more than 26 years, Josh has been a trusted Real Estate Broker specializing in both real estate sales and property management. His deep knowledge of the Denton market and long-standing commitment to client relationships have made him a respected leader in the industry. He also dedicated part of his career to education, teaching high-level math and science at Touchstone Academy.

Beyond business, Josh is deeply engaged in community leadership. He is a graduate of Leadership Denton, a Past President of the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club, and current Sec/Treasuer of the Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS® (GDWCAR). He continues to give back through mentorship and service, currently serving on the Parent Advisory Council at Texas A&M University.

Brenda Halpin is a dedicated real estate professional committed to helping clients navigate the buying and selling process with confidence, integrity, and personalized service. With a strong understanding of the local market and a client-first approach, Brenda works to make every real estate experience as seamless and successful as possible.

Beyond serving her clients, Brenda is passionate about strengthening the real estate profession and giving back to her industry. She has taken an active leadership role through her local REALTOR® association, serving on the Board of Directors and chairing the Membership Committee. She is also involved in housing initiatives committee and advocating for REALTORS®, homeowners, and the communities they serve.

Brenda believes that leadership is about listening, building relationships, creating opportunities, and finding practical solutions that benefit both real estate professionals and the public. Her combination of market knowledge, professional leadership, and genuine commitment to others makes her a trusted resource and a strong advocate for her clients and industry.

She resides in Corinth, Tx with her husband and 2 cute pups. Brenda has been in Denton County for over 15 years.
