Most complaints result from misunderstandings. Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS® suggests before filing a complaint, make reasonable efforts to communicate with the real estate professional and their broker.
TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission)
If you feel there has been a violation of The Real Estate License Act (law), or TREC rules, you have the right to file a complaint with TREC.
REALTORS® abide by the strict standards of the Code of Ethics. If a REALTOR® has failed to meet these standards, you can file a complaint. First, you must determine if the person is a REALTOR® and, thus, bound by the Code of Ethics.
