Mark has been a Licensed Broker since 1988, the same year he completed his Masters of Land Economics and Real Estate degree from Texas A&M. A self-described “deal junky”, he's had a lifelong pursuit of mastering the art of a deal. He started Wakeland Property Company in 2004.

He serves on the GDWCAR MLS Committee and Finance Committee. Outside of the association, he serves on the Board of Directors of ManeGait in Prosper TX -- a therapeutic horsemanship non-profit for children, teens and veterans with PTSD that has over 150 riders per week in various stages of disabilities. He has helped raise $1.5mm per year to “keep the doors open” and is helping to raise $10mm capital to build new facilities.

Mark's passion in real estate is mentoring/teaching. He's worked for a myriad of world class organizations and mentored/taught along the way by the best in this business. Experiences include: 6 years with Deloitte & Touche, Hank Dickerson and Company, 8 years at the Staubach Company doing multi-state dispositions for Verizon and Frito-Lay, and 4 years doing acquisitions with Staubach Capital.
