Code of Ethics
Code of Ethics Training
Between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2021, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2.5 hours of the NAR Code of Ethics training.
REALTORS® who have joined the association after January 1, 2019 - AND - have completed the required New Member Code of Ethics training, are seen as having fulfilled this training requirement. Members who have not met the Code of Ethics requirement must complete the training by December 31, 2021, in order to continue their membership with the Association.
As of January 1, 2020, TREC Legal Update II no longer satisfies this requirement.
If you took TREC Legal Update II in 2019 it satisfies your COE requirement until December 31, 2021.
If you did not take Legal Update II in 2019 you must take a qualifying COE course before December 31, 2021.
Failure to complete the required ethics training every three years shall be considered a violation of membership duties; for which, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training has been completed.
